I would write about John and my trip to the Fair here but I'm exhausted after fighting with typepad, trying to insert pictures into my post. What a PITA!

    So here you are. Sorry about typepad. I just thought that you were away. Most of my photos, I just sentre and choose large, or is it extra large. Frankly, I don't know right now.

    I'm here trying it out and at WordPress but I've been blogging on Typepad. However, the RSS feeds aren't working so if you're using a reader, you had no idea that I was posting. :) I would prefer to stay on Typepad, but they're making that difficult right now.

    Yay! You're trying out Blogger! Let me just say, from a purely selfish perspective, I would love it if you switched platforms. The fact that Typepad can't fix your feed means your blog always sits at the bottom of my blog list and I often miss what you've posted. And your sunset photo is much better right-side up. :)

    Hi Margaret. Hope Blogger treats you well. I have been using it since the beginning and it is pretty intuitive. I think you will enjoy it but you probably like the familiarity of using Typepad. Take care.

    Hi Matt-I'm not too sure how this works or if you'll even see my response. I'm making an effort to learn both Blogger and WordPress and it's going well but there's still more to figure out. :)

    Thank you, Bruce! I'm still figuring out what I want to do. The systems can be so proprietary about leaving comments (both blogger and WP); typepad lets anyone comment.

Testing My Mettle

 If (or is it when?) my Typepad blog dies, perhaps I will quit blogging. Twenty years is a long time and how much writing do I have left in me? However, I like to have some options, so here I am...back at Blogger to occasionally test it out with posts. Actually, I'm more testing myself; can I adapt to change? Am I willing to stumble around on a new site, trying to figure things out? CAN THIS OLD DOG LEARN NEW TRICKS?  Those of you who know me from Stargazer are aware that I love to post photos and they usually jump start my writing, which then tends to meander around. Life is like that though, isn't it? It doesn't go in a straight line, so why should my blog? Here I'm seeing how inserting a picture works. This mobile grooming van in my neighborhood had an interesting name! I'm not sure how to work with the formatting though. It is crooked and doesn't look good. Am I supposed to write around the picture instead of doing so underneath it? Hmmm. This time I'm ...

Wednesday Rambling

 Life is windy, rainy, and kind of depressing. Both little boys are sick (hand, foot and mouth disease) and the littlest grandson still doesn't like to sleep at night. (or during the day either) I don't like the way these top two photos crisscrossed; I'll need to figure that out. But at least this picture of me walking in the wind isn't sideways like it appears on Typebad. (new name for my primary blogging site)
